This exhibition endeavors to examine how widely the theme of time may be interpreted. For example, how world views, cultural conditioning and cosmological perspectives enhance or diminish one’s sense of time; how geology, geography and the limbs of the natural world embody, map and embed time and how digital media and communication shape thinking about time. How does the making of art offer a dimension that is powerful to artists and audiences in relationship to time? In this exhibition eleven artists: Dawn Csutoros, Imbi Davidson, Kristian Laemmle-Ruff, Nick Maxwell, Regina Pilawuk Wilson, Michael Schlitz, Jacqui Stockdale, Kate Tucker, Ilka White, John Wolseley and Greg Wood explore the capturing, measuring, experiencing and documenting of elemental, mystical and conceptual aspects of time. It is an invitation to respond to our own relationship to time as well as question how we value time and the present moment offered.
